The Digital Marketing Trainer will perform tasks related to the design, development and execution of all digital marketing-related courses including but not limited to: marketing strategy, user experience, marketing analytics, targeting/tracking, testing, social media, email marketing, advertising, SEO and SEM.This person will also focus on training marketers and other staff on the latest digital marketing tools such as Odyl, iVisionMobile, ExactTarget, and Supadu through in-person and recorded sessions. In addition, this person will work with our in-house designer/developer to create supporting courses and materials to ensure all users have the background knowledge to use these tools (e.g. HTML, CSS, Photoshop, WordPress, etc.)

This person will work closely with the digital marketing group as well as the individual publisher marketing groups to identify best practices in the above areas and provide ongoing guidance to all users, even after training is complete. The ability to effectively communicate with marketers at all levels is critical for success in this role, as is the importance of understanding the basics of marketing and web development.

Major Responsibilities:

•With Director, Digital Marketing, meet with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and publishers to identify training needs for all user levels and roles
•Research and develop course content and materials – including best practice docs and user guides – for new topics and tools
•Maintain training portal to be sure all training calendars and documentation are up to date
•Hold regular refresher courses for new hires or employees who need additional training
•Record basic trainings as needed (for topics that will not require regular updates or changes)
•Schedule new and ongoing courses for all levels of users
•Facilitate interactive training sessions and workshops
•Measure progress through LMS or other system
•Perform regular follow-ups with users and senior management
•Update training materials and documentation as needed
•Research new course modules and content on an ongoing basis to be sure all trainings are current and relevant
• Ensure all materials, training videos, etc. are updated in the LMS or training portal

Required Skills / Knowledge:

•Demonstrated ability to deliver Learning and Development solutions
•Ability to learn and implement new tools and concepts
•Ability to successfully influence/advise leaders on the best marketing methods and solutions
•Ability to take a new idea from conception to an operational training program.
•Strong technical writing skills
•Ability to work with people at a variety of levels

Experience Needed:

•Minimum 3-5 years experience in instructional design or education
•Minimum 3-5 years experience in instructing training courses
•Strong knowledge of marketing processes
•Experience researching new concepts and developing new courses from scratch
•Knowledge of analytics preferred
•Experience with developing business or marketing strategies a plus
•Knowledge of various online marketing channels and tactics including social media, SEO/SEM, mobile, video, display advertising, email marketing preferred
•Experience with ExactTarget, Google AdWords, Facebook, social media marketing or mobile marketing tools a plus
•Basic familiarity with using web analytics systems (e.g. Google Analytics, Webtrends) also a plus

Educational Background Required:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field
•Training certification from an accredited institution
•Degree in Marketing or Business Management acceptable with related training experience
