Full Time
• Recruit for, expand and manage’s team of freelance writers and contributors, and cultivate emerging writers.
• Oversee the start-to-finish execution of online and print editorial projects.
• Work closely with our Editorial Director, Site Director and editors to ensure that daily editorial operations are in line with immediate and long-term goals.
• Direct projects to create and disseminate print materials focused on HIV patient education.
• Play a key, ongoing role in advising, discussing and executing our editorial strategy.
• Ensure effective intra-team communication, as well as efficient and productive workflow, across’s editorial efforts.

Desired Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in editorial management.
• 5+ years of experience writing and editing health-related journalistic content, including news, interviews and in-depth feature reports.
• 5+ years of experience working in an online media environment.
• Strongly preferred: Considerable knowledge and understanding of HIV disease and HIV community culture.
• Strongly preferred: Significant writing and editing experience in issues involving community health and justice, health disparities, barriers to care and traditionally marginalized or stigmatized groups.
• Exceptional organizational ability.
• Ability to remain on task and moving forward toward goals despite a significant number of overlapping assignments, tasks and shifting deadlines.
• Outstanding ability to efficiently and effectively communicate with, and about, editorial needs and issues.
• Superb writing and editing skills.
• A natural curiosity and aptitude for problem solving, coupled with excellent attention to detail (i.e., a well-adjusted perfectionist)
