Overview
•We are looking for a content editor with a passion for music and culture to oversee editorial team for a global lifestyle brand.

Description
•Overall management of editorial team (including but not limited to; producer and freelance features writer) to turn over quality content on weekly basis;
•Responsible for writing and editing articles, posts and news items;
•Collect and communicate content materials with client and account managers/directors during weekly and monthly meetings;
•Work to keep an ongoing updated calendar across all client editorial activity;
•Work alongside content manager to ensure all content is approved by the client and uploaded across social and digital channels using preferred systems;
•Be the primary liaison for all contributors and provide support for local markets;
•Continually update and create best practices for client editorial content;
•Generate ideas for features with content team and client;
•Commission content from freelance writers, film makers and designers;
•Send out briefs to writers, which can include word count, deadline, fee and writing style;
•Assist and build system with freelance creative talent.

Background / Experience:
•Strong knowledge of and passion for music, youth culture and lifestyle;
•Ability to work with and around artists and live music;
•Understanding and complying with media law, client legal guidelines, industry ethical guidelines, rights acquisition and clearance;
•A passion for digital media with the ability to translate that passion into day-to-day projects;
•Build and sustain effective relationships with teams including brand teams / inter-agency / content creators / talent;
•Flexibility in working hours: happy to work evenings/weekends/travel if necessary;
•Positive attitude, full of ideas and a lover of writing is a must;
•Degree in English language, marketing or journalism is an advantage;
•Proven track record in writing for digital media channels;
•An understanding of how to maximize social media engagement;
•Excellent organizational skills and an ability to multi-task and prioritize;
•Strong communication skills, written and verbal;
•Familiarity with search engine optimization and best practices for website content development;
•The ability to adapt writing style to target diverse audience segments.
