Major Functions:
• Programming: Research and recommend themes and speakers for IP events by keeping up with current industry players and trends. Communicate with and pitch to PR and corporate communications staff to secure and coordinate participation of speakers and moderators. Help maintain editorial calendar, compile and organize programming ideas/plans from editorial meetings.

• Website and Mobile App: Coordinate with Creative Services to publish event pages, update and maintain mobile app, and compose bi-weekly email newsletter. Provide text and visuals, and maintain pages in CMS as needed. [NOTE: As discussed, we believe this role should become more a liaison with CS, which will assume responsibility for the design, composition, and creation of all content on industry programs pages on and email newsletter.]

• Social Media and Marketing: Engage with Media Council members, followers, and other influencers via social media platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Tumblr, our bi-weekly newsletter, and mobile app. Coordinate with Paley PR team and program participants to publicize events and promote digital content (event video, photos, Tumblr posts, live-Tweeting/blogging of events, Storify recaps) via social media channels to drive attendance, online engagement, and community. Coordinate with Creative Services on creation of mobile app for IC.

• Event Production: Coordinate with Creative Services and PR teams on publicity strategies and marketing materials for live events, including email invitations, signage, digital step-and-repeat slides, and event programs. Coordinate with vendor and Paley PR for event live stream and photography. Coordinate with the participants and Technical Production team to ensure delivery and execution of audio/visual elements during program. Assist in prep and day-of production, as needed.

• Content Production: Work with Technical Production team to process, edit, and package event video for marketing and distribution online. Maintain event video library, including cataloguing, tagging, and tracking assets. Coordinate with Paley PR and photographer to select, publish, and distribute event photos.

• Analytics and Data: Track and create reports on website, video, and social media metrics. Work with Director of Industry Programs, Membership Manager, and Creative Services to analyze data and apply insights to optimize marketing, community outreach, and digital content.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution
• 2 – 3 years of experience required within media aspects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with and understanding of social media marketing and analytics, including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Tumblr
• Experience with content management systems, including WordPress and Tumblr, and basic HTML knowledge.
• Journalism or communications experience preferred
• Be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner
• Highly organized and attentive to detail
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills; will work closely with others in the company as well as senior executives
• Must be a collaborative team player who is proactive with great initiative
• Strong knowledge of MS software, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint; knowledge of Photoshop is a plus
