Advertising Department: Fashion Account Manager
NYLON is seeking a candidate for a position within the Advertising Department: Fashion Account Manager. The position calls for substantial experience in the industry- with a proven track record, working with Fashion Advertisers. Primary duties for the position include the following:RESPONSIBILITIES:Generate income through the sale of advertising into NYLON under existing fashion accountsProspect for new accounts, aggressively pursuing new leads and sales opportunities on the phone and in personPrepare sales presentations and creative ideas for prospective and current clientsReview competitive media and identify prospects and opportunities Develop and maintain both local direct and agency accounts Build relationships in the community to assist the magazine in reaching revenue goalsCreate and implement client presentations and marketing plansRepresent NYLON at client and company events to promote businessREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree; two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceSuperior verbal and written communication skillsMust be detail-oriented and be able to multi-task efficientlyAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamMust be able to attend job-related events and social functions as neededKnowledge of the marketplaceNew York City sales experienceSuccessful applicants are goal oriented, self starters and thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.Please include resume and cover letter in text of email.PLEASE NO PHONE CALLS!
