Inside Sales Manager
Job DescriptionThe Onion is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Manager to join our National Sales team in Chicago, IL.The Inside Sales Manager role is a new sales management position. Reporting to the SVP of Operations, this person will be responsible for hiring and managing a newly created inside sales team designed to support The Onion’s high performance sales culture. The new inside sales team is a critically important element in our company's dynamic growth strategy.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Building a cohesive team of productive, ambitious, and disciplined inside sales professionals Develop, coach and motivate sales reps, and position for career growth within the company Developing, monitoring and enforcing sales policies and procedures Managing of team assignments, territories and leads Ensuring superior levels of client interaction Ongoing coaching of individual performance for successful goal achievement Providing base level marketing support in terms of lead acquisition and database management, category knowledge, target segment messaging, CRM-enabled campaigns and results tracking Meet and exceed revenue and strategic development goals Meet and exceed company sales goal Meet all deadlines and ensure top quality work by sales reps Timely results reporting and forecasting via our CRM system Develop and maintain outstanding relationships with the National Sales team Qualifications Min. of 5 years experience successfully managing inside sales teams Extensive knowledge of online media Extensive experience with sales management techniques and demonstrable skill in maximizing individual and group performance and rewarding strong achievement Knowledge of solution-based selling strategies and experience applying and coaching these techniques Working knowledge and expertise in area of sales support marketing, such as market and segment knowledge, targeted messaging, campaign creation and managementAdditional InformationThe Onion is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
