This is a great opportunity for an ambitious reporter who wants to go out several nights a week, while—and this is the important part—looking beyond the PR and celebrity photo ops to cover the business decisions and strategies behind these events.

That can mean going from a film premiere to a product launch to an after-party at night, and then writing snappy, well-reported, business-minded stories for our audience of corporate event planners the next day.

Essential skills and qualifications include:
* One to two years of newspaper, magazine, and/or online reporting/writing experience.
* Solid knowledge of the basics of reporting and fact-checking.
* Writing informative, attention-getting heads, decks, and captions.
* Local business community contacts are a plus.
