SR. CONSUMER MARKETING MANAGER



Job Description



This position is responsible for managing subscription marketing and retention efforts for USA TODAY and Sports Weekly to support home delivery subscription volume and revenue. This person will build marketing programs to increase revenue through new subscriptions and increase lifetime value through a variety of retention and engagement tactics throughout the consumer lifecycle. It is important that this person have a strong foundation in digital and email best practices and demonstrates strong sales planning skills in order to achieve budgeted sales goals. Will analyze market data, establish consumer marketing campaign strategies and tactics, and act as a change agent to ensure goals are met.



Responsibilities:



Manage and grow lead generation program by partnering with internal stakeholders on a variety of opportunities to widen the sales funnel.
Manage consumer lifecycle and increase subscriber lifetime value through retention programs.
Collaborate with internal sales partners to create and implement sales and marketing programs that support defined sales strategy.
Oversee sales and retention initiatives across traditional and non-traditional platforms from creation to completion.
Identify marketing opportunities by analyzing consumer segments, market trends, target markets, competitors' strengths and weaknesses.
Research and introduce new digital sales opportunities through owned and outside media.
Annual and monthly P&L planning and management.
Communicate programs, results and accomplishments to management, peers and executive team, enabling proactive implementations, collaboration and the establishment of best practices.



Job Requirements:



Bachelor's degree with specialization in marketing, communications or business preferred.
5+ years of experience in direct marketing and development of marketing and lifecycle management programs.
3+ years of experience relevant to marketing automation platforms, as well as various database types like Exact Target, Oracle, Microsoft, Salesforce or others.

· Proven track record in developing successful sales campaigns to ensure meeting budgeted sales goals.

· Strong project management skills, analytical skills and problem solving skills a must.

· Knowledge of sales and marketing campaigns, methods, channels and analysis is required.

Knowledge of digital and email marketing campaign tactics and best practices, data hygiene and analytics is required.

· Excellent customer relationships with vendors, and internal/external customers.

· Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills are required.

· Must be able to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
