The Senior Director of Public Relations is responsible for business and consumer publicity for several of Hearst’s magazine brands and other corporate and executive initiatives. This position supervises other staffers and oversees the PR efforts for several of the company’s women’s lifestyle magazines, including Good Housekeeping, Woman’s Day and Country Living.

Promote magazine editorial and business achievements, brand extensions, digital initiatives, partnerships and events and handle crisis management.

Work directly with executives, senior staff, editors and publishers on media opportunities.

Serve as a spokesperson for individual titles and for the corporation when necessary.

Liaise with and manage public relations agencies and other vendors on contract.

Produce written materials, including press releases, statements, briefing material for the executives, pitch letters for media and other communications.

Supervise other staff members on titles that fall under the senior director’s purview.

Assist executive director and vice president on corporate initiatives.
