Job Description As a marketing manager, you’ll join a small but fast-paced team with a scrappy attitude and a love for the creative process. The position combines big-idea brainstorming, proposal writing, and presentation design. You will work closely across our business development, strategy, product, and editorial teams to ideate and create presentation decks for our ever-expanding client list. Also, you will help market Atlantic Media Strategies through blogging, social media, events, and more. The position will report to the Director of Brand and Marketing. The ideal candidate will be a passionate, personable, highly creative individual who can think like a marketer, communicate like a journalist, and brainstorm like an innovator. Excellent writing and communication skills are a must--along with a knowledge and passion for digital and social media. Responsibilities Include:-Write compelling proposals conveying complex ideas in simple ways-Create big, innovative, multi-platform ideas that move our clients and the media industry forward—and include online, social, mobile, app, and other emerging media elements-Write and design beautiful, elegant presentations for client meetings and larger events-Stay up-to-speed and communicate the latest findings on media trends within the Atlantic Media family and beyond-Contribute to and/or manage the AMS website, Twitter feed, and other social channelsQualifications of the Ideal Candidate: -Exceptional writing skills coupled with a creative, unconventional mind-Knowledge of and passion for digital media, along with a grasp of key media trends-Expertise in social strategy and amplification-1-2+ years of digital marketing experience (proposal-writing experience preferred)-The ability to make decisions in real-time with maturity, poise, and grace under pressure-Strong organizational skills-Ability to work closely with a variety of internal constituencies, as well as interface with clients and other external colleagues-Basic level of design knowledge and skills (including InDesign and Powerpoint)-Outstanding record of academic and professional achievement-Bachelor’s degree Core Attributes: -Force of Ideas – At the center of Atlantic Media work are the ideas within our writing.
