The Scientist has an attractive opportunity for an experienced outside sales executive to cover the eastern US sales territory and select companies in Europe and Rest of World. Virtual position, candidates must be available 9-5, Eastern time and have the ability to work from home.

Key Responsibilities

•Work closely with the publisher to strategically grow print & digital advertising revenue from the territory;
•Manage all aspects of selling, relationship development and brand awareness for the eastern US sales territory and select Europe and rest of world companies;
•Cultivate strong relationships through a consultative process involving on-site meetings and presentations to client and agency decision makers at all levels;
•Work closely with sales, marketing and webinar teams to develop and pitch custom, solutions-oriented advertising programs that accurately represent The Scientist brand while delivering on client business objectives;
•Serve as a representative of The Scientist brand within the advertising community in a positive, convincing and enthusiastic manner

Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate

•Extensive knowledge of integrated media including print, online, social media webinar-based products
•A track record building strong relationships, growing revenue and meeting monthly and annual sales goals and objectives
•Strong connections to client companies as well as the ability to leverage your relationships
•Excellent communication skills and superior customer-service oriented skills
•Very strong organizational, issue resolution and decision-making skills
•Willingness to travel to client companies and industry trade shows and conferences
•5-7 years of sales experience; preferably within the life science research market
