Hayden-McNeil is the premier publisher of course-specific, instructional materials for college instructors and students. We are looking for an experienced interactive media editor to join our digital development team in creating and producing interactive content for custom online courses, e-books, and websites in the higher education market.

This role will produce custom digital content by working closely with our authors, editors, product managers, and sales team to create e-learning materials to enhance student understanding of key learning concepts and assessments.

•Produce engaging e-learning content (desktop and mobile) for use in digital courses and e-books created for college level courses,.
•Create interactive content using text, assessments, and multimedia.
•Work with Media Producer to ensure error-free implementation of content.
•Responsible for production of custom content, courses, and e-books within an assigned time-frame and according to the specifications of the Digital Project Manager and the author.
•Work with outside partners and vendors on building interactive content and tools that can be integrated into digital products.
•Develop tools, templates and processes to facilitate rapid production and implementation of e-learning content.
•Collaborate with editorial, marketing, sales, product management, and other team members to achieve the growth goals of the digital program.
•Create custom demos to facilitate the sales process. Demo directly to authors and prospects on custom digital capability and suggest digital solutions that meet the customers’ e-learning objectives.
•Create prototypes and proofs of concept to support product development.
•Administer courses and provide customer support for instructors as needed
•Communicate with authors and students as needed with relevant platform updates
•Create training materials for authors, instructors, and students.
•Monitor help desk activity and usage information to make sure the online course/e-book is functioning properly. Troubleshoot problems as needed.
•Assist on other projects as needed

•Hard skills: Mac OS, Indesign, Photoshop, HTML5, CSS, CMS (such as Wordpress or Drupal) a plus. Design skills also a plus
•Bachelor’s degree preferred. Interactive Communications, Art & Design or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
•1-3 years of relevant digital media/new media professional experience
•Customer service orientation.
•Ability to prioritize workload and to be highly organized in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline driven publishing environment.
•Must be detail oriented with exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
•Ability to merge various content types such as written word, photos, video, and interactive tools to create user engagement
•Passion for digital and social media, new technology
•Ability to be effective in a small organization
•Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business environment
•Must be able to multi-task
•Must be able to function/concentrate in a busy/distracting work environment with competing priorities

Additional Requirements:
•Must be able to travel occasionally, 1-3 times per year
•Work extra hours as needed during the heavy production season
