Scholastic Education Technology is seeking to hire Producer will assume the key responsibility for managing the overall development of several components of the student software under the leadership of the Executive Producer. He/she will join a growing division, a leader in the field of educational technology, and work collaboratively with a smart dedicated team of out-of-the-box thinkers and educators. You will develop engaging, blended learning content / programs and innovative intervention technology products to meet the needs of struggling Math students.

This position requires broad content and project management experience as a producer for web-based software. The ideal candidate will be energetic, motivated, and sharp. Our offices are convenient to public transportation and located in one of Manhattan's most vibrant neighborhoods.

Responsibilities

•Communicate with management, content, editorial, and creative teams to gather requirements and translate them to functional specifications and other technical documentation for engineering teams
•Collaborate with creative teams to define and produce new Student Experience features, functionality, and visual design
•Develop, review, and distribute presentations, stories, wireframes, component specs, and other support documentation
•Coordinate with producers and developers to ensure that goals for the student software application are clearly conveyed through instructional design, interface and navigation, and instructional features of the product
•Manage the software development team using Agile methodologies.
•Drive deliverables and schedule, and hit milestone targets in coordination with cross-functional teams
•May be required to participate in field testing of Student Software at school sites to ensure program functions appropriately and to troubleshoot and mitigate user issues before product release
•Travel 5 to 10% between New York & Boston

Required Qualifications
•2+ years’ experience in software product development preferably in Education Technology
•Understanding of Agile Methodology
•Prior Project Management experience
•Strong multi-tasking skills
•Experience with vendor management such as: programming, content development and art/design
•Dedicated to excellence in quality, reliability and thoroughness I all work tasks
•Detail oriented with consistent follow-through
•Resourceful, with ability to think outside of the box and have a creative approach to work assignments
•Problem Solver
•Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
•Ability to interact, communicate and collaborate with employees at all levels and take direction from management and executive producers

Desired Qualifications

•Knowledge of Math, Early Education-Pre-K and K curriculum development highly desired
•Experience with web-based software development
•Specific experience developing Math literacy programs
•Experience in creating teacher development programs
•Knowledge of software programming
