Tiger Beat and BOP magazines are immediately seeking a talented designer who loves pop culture and who has a modern/edgy style.

We are looking for a designer who will:
Thrive under pressure while maintaining a fast-paced production schedule and juggling overlapping deadlines; Coordinate with outside printing facilities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of magazine pages; Maintain consistent style and design quality in accordance with readership, editorial and advertising goals; And work closely with the photo editor and publication editors/writers to determine and implement the unique visual identity of each magazine.

Ideal candidates will have these qualities:

- Be a positive, team player.
- Able to articulate design and design strategy
- Strong in typography skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Have BA in graphic design or related field
- Proficient skill in Adobe Creative Suite
- Outside the box thinker who can turn new ideas into practical solutions

Three to five years of experience preferred. Duties will include design and production work for print. Technical expertise of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop are a must. This is a position focusing on both design and production, applicants must show prior knowledge of design skills that include color usage, good use of space, cutting-edge typography, etc., in their portfolios. Understanding of editorial proof marks is helpful. The ability to do complex clipping paths is a must.
