Project Manager/ProducerWorkman Publishing is seeking a proactive, assertive and detail-oriented project manager/producer who can efficiently run digital projects from inception through completion. Projects will include overseeing the creation of dedicated websites and landing pages, custom digital content, and day-to-day operations for ongoing online editorial programs. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and possess strong problem-solving skills. He or she will be able to manage multiple ongoing projects and deadlines, facilitate communication between freelance developers, designers, and in-house staff and thrive in a, collaborative environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:--Understand the project vision, assess requirements of the project in conjunction with Director of Digital Business and Director of Digital Strategy to develop the scope/timelines, milestones and the specific deliverables.--Ensure all projects are executed on brand, on scope and on time.--Develop and evolve production plans and timelines.--Task assignment and management of short order and long term to do's for copy, design, photo, and editorial.--Drive day-to-day tactical execution and revisions and monitor/resolve issues as they arise. --Understand a project's status at all times amidst often changing deadlines--Calmly and confidently wrangle multiple moving pieces on many programs at various stages of production at once --Establish a relationship of trust and credibility across departments and with consultants--Understand the risks and challenges of projects but be able to respond and manage them as well.Qualifications:--Project Management: Excellent communication, time and project management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Must be team-oriented, collaborative and have the ability to drive an agenda forward while also balancing needs of all involved parties --Writing: Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.Experienced and comfortable repurposing content for multiple segments/audiences. Understands writing for the web (including writing for conversion and writing for mobile devices). --Design: Understands what works/does not work for website development and other digital-specific content. Ability to crop and edit photos, oversee and guide implementation of design elements related to all projects.--Marketing: Knows best practices around product marketing, sales enablement, blogging, social media, SEO copywriting , and keyword searches. Technology:--Familiar with Basecamp and other project management tools--Experienced with analytics and SEO tools (Google Analytics and Google Web Tools).--Comfortable with Photoshop (resizing, cropping, adjusting, and optimizing images) and Adobe Creative Suite (PDF creation and optimization). --Familiar with website content management systems (WordPress) and email delivery systems (MailChimp).--Experienced with social media (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest)--Familiarity with HTML/CSS and PHP a plusEducation / Experience:--4-5 years of experience of prior project management and/or production experience within an established digital company or online media publication.
