Hearst Magazines is seeking a results-driven direct marketer to join its first-class Consumer Marketing Team. This is a rare opportunity to assist in the strategy and execution of retention marketing for the print editions across print and digital channels. The position will report directly to the Associate Director, Customer Retention and collaborate with key stakeholders across the Magazine division.

Areas of responsibility include but not limited to:

Managing day-to-day retention marketing activities for the renewal, billing and gift renewal businesses of multiple Hearst magazines in order to achieve budgeted response and expense targets
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on the implementation of test and roll out programs
Reporting, forecasting and reconciliation of billing and renewal response rates
Reporting, forecasting and reconciliation of billing and renewal expenses
Analyzing results and making recommendations based on findings
Forecasting, ordering and management of print campaign stock components
Managing two direct reports

Required Skills/Experience:

5-10 years of experience in subscription marketing renewals and billing preferred
Ability to see things from a customer’s perspective
Ability to collaborate effectively with members of Marketing, Finance, Production, Operations and Reporting
Ability to analyze results and make recommendations based on findings
Creative mindset with a knack for questioning status quo and trying new things
Direct marketing experience
Interactive marketing experience
Experience working in a matrix environment
Ability to move quickly, manage multiple projects in fast-paced environment
Excellent leadership, oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proactive team player with solutions-oriented mindset
Minimum BA/BS in Marketing preferred
