About the Group

The Huffington Post PR & Communications team is seeking a talented, eager, and all star paid PR & Communications Post Graduate Fellow. The fellow will take on many roles within the PR and Marketing world. Candidates will gain exposure to the fast paced, ever-changing news world, as well as work with social media, and numerous media outlets.





Responsibilities include:

•Clipping: Identifying what’s hot in the news on a daily basis. Reading through press publications, blogs, tabloids, our own properties and updating the team of all press events

•Assisting team members in the creation of rundowns and roundups of clips and news pertaining to the Huffington Post initiatives

•Assisting with all Media Operations, Event programming, tracking press

•Various projects and research as they arise



Requirements for Success:



•Eligible applicants must be able to work 40hrs/week



•Previous internship experience in a Media Relations and/or PR function required



• Experience using Cision and/or Vocus required



•Experience at a publisher/media/entertainment/agency strongly preferred



•Candidates must be comfortable working independently, and taking initiative



•Qualified candidates are energetic, passionate, positive, and aren’t afraid to dive right in



•Demonstrated interest in news, politics, communications, events, PR and Marketing

•Excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidate must be able to work with all types of people, and all levels of seniority

•Able to work in fast paced, high-stress environments



The HuffPost Fellowship usually lasts four to six months, giving our Fellows the opportunity to discover whether HuffPost is the right place to launch their career.



This is a paid program providing experience and training from beginning to end. We focus on teaching our Fellows everything there is to know about how the Huffington Post approaches web publishing. This program is based in AOL’s New York office in Greenwich Village.
