Responsible for performance of all activities in the shipping, and receiving areas. Coordinate with sales and field service on worldwide shipments. Direct the activities of shipping and receiving personnel.

Processing all incoming shipments, including documentation, updating system status, customer notification.
Processing all outbound shipments, including all documentation, transportation arrangements, packaging/crating, and updating system status.
Negotiate freight rates for all modes of transportation for inbound and outbound shipments.
Establish crating schedule to meet production demands.
Monitor backlogged sales orders and coordinate with sales to satisfy required ship dates.
Maintain required records of materials received or shipped domestically and internationally.
Planning own work and the work of others to meet defined work plans and objectives. Has final responsibility for assigning and scheduling work, training and appraising performance of subordinates. Responsible for recommending promotions/transfers, salary adjustments, disciplinary discussions and terminations.

Education and Training:

Associates degree or equivalent.
Strong ORACLE knowledge a plus

Five years related experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Knowledge of freight rate structures for various modes of transportation. Ability to negotiate pricing for transportation services
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, supervisory skills and basic knowledge of import and export requirements.
