The Director of User Experience is responsible for overseeing the user experience for new Optimum products and services. The Director will lead the definition, design, and documentation of the user experience for all customer-facing products produced for Optimum customers. The Director will also provide ongoing oversight of changes and updates to deployed products to ensure optimal and consistent user experience. The Director is responsible for leading the definition of the user experience, and product specifications for new products and enhancements. This includes: participating in the early conceptualization phase of any new project; translating broad business requirements into detailed functional specifications, using a variety of tools and documents, including use cases, user stories, process flows, wireframes, prototypes, user interviews and usability studies; working closely with the User Interface design team to produce final screen designs and user interface specifications; and, scrutinizing final implementation of all projects to ensure proper execution of the user experience and compliance with the specifications. Lastly, the Director will provide ongoing oversight of the overall user experience of launched products to ensure that all updates and enhancements maintain the integrity of the design and user experience.

- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Human Factors or other applicable field of study. MBA is preferred.

- Minimum of eight (8+) years experience of interactive product development including requirements analysis, specification development, user design and implementation.

- Minimum of three (3) years experience managing direct reports or managing product development teams of five to 15 members is required.

- Proven expertise in interface design, requirements analysis and documentation, leadership and bringing world-class products to market.

- Demonstrated ability to create and leverage requirements assets such as use cases, user stories, process flows, wireframes, prototypes and presentations is required.

- Strong technical acumen, ideally with understanding of digital cable network architecture, development principles, and web technologies.

- Knowledge across many functional areas, including product management, legal, business development, engineering, UI design, and marketing as well as a comprehensive knowledge of operational systems such as consumer sales, billing and customer support is required.

- Strong organizational, project management and communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver quality presentations and compelling product demo experiences to senior management.

- Team-oriented, collaborative individual who will initiate action and achieve results.
