Amazon Publishing is looking for a talented and passionate technology leader to help us revolutionize the publishing process through innovating on behalf of authors and readers. Our goal is to introduce exceptional authors and their books to readers worldwide, in many different languages and in both physical and Kindle editions. We strive to attract and delight authors and editors by building convenient, efficient, and frictionless services and platforms that will transform the ways they create, market, and sell books. As a technology leader in this team, you will play a key role in building and growing a high-performance team, driving innovation, building our technology roadmap and delivering customer-centric features and services. You will combine your technical vision with business judgment in making decisions to build systems that scale for the future. You will be executing in a fast-paced environment, driving for results and continuous improvements in author and reader experience.

- Execution experience in fast-paced environments and performance driven culture
- Proven track record building, motivating and growing teams of star players
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally at all levels
- 10+ years of industry experience
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent

- Demonstrated experience delivering innovative, customer-centric products
- Entrepreneurial spirit combined with strong program and product management skills
- Deeply technical with track record of successful delivery as individual contributor and leader
- Experience with building robust, scalable, distributed systems solutions to complex business problems
