The Art & Production Manager executes and oversees all graphic design and layout work, as well as print production, for the Publications department. Handling design and production for Risk Management is the primary responsibility, but the Art & Production Manager also supports other Publications projects, including digital publications and RIMS white paper and report production. Participates in art meetings with editorial staff, develops production schedules and enforces production deadlines. Position coordinates all magazine reprint sales and production. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: managing expenditures against budget; website/blog design and maintenance, including banner, slide and page designs; digital edition production; and email blast design and production. Position interfaces with other RIMS staff, third-party artists, freelance designers, advertising coordinators and printing representatives. Special projects are also addressed by this position such as white papers and reports. Helps department keep abreast of new tools and technologies that increase efficiency and capabilities in design and production.Qualifications:•Five years of publication design and production experience required. •Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of various computer software applications on Mac platforms, including, but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and Dreamweaver.•Possess keen written and verbal communications skills.•High capacity to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines, demonstrates good judgment and critical thinking skills. •Stays abreast of technological innovations in the field of graphic design.Education:Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design required.Travel Requirements:Not in excess of one week per year to attend conferences and developmental workshops.Qualified applicants should submit cover and resume including web sites by email.
