BA/BS in a discipline related to journalism, public relations, public affairs or communications, with a minimum of two years of applicable experience, preferably at an agency or trade association. Candidates must be self-starters with a passion for PR, enjoy working in a collaborative environment, and exhibit sound judgment, attention to detail and ability to prioritize deadlines.

Applicants must have excellent written, oral communication and research skills. Previous experience in issues management, regulatory affairs or scientific/technical sectors is a plus.

Applicants should be up-to-date on social and digital media as it relates to public relations programs. Candidates should enjoy learning about new industries and following current affairs.

Reporting to the vice president, the account executive will support the implementation of media relations, issues management and digital media programs for clients in B2B sectors.

Monitor trade, technical, online and consumer media;

Track issues, legislative and regulatory developments on the federal, state and international levels;

Draft and deliver frequent issues reports and memos to clients;

Write press releases, bylined articles, newsletters, brochures and Web content;

Develop client reports, conduct client or new business related research, arrange and attend meetings, events and conference calls;

Develop, verify and maintain up-to-date media lists, client reports and clip books;

Develop relationships with reporters and bloggers relevant to client sectors;

Support new business proposal writing and research;

Participate in professional development programs;

Attend Kellen Company functions.
