Director of Analytics



JWT
is seeking a Director of Analytics, who will be responsible for developing and managing the analytic capability for the agency. The role provides counsel to account teams and clients on how to employ statistical analysis to improve direct marketing results and maximize profits of client customer bases. Additionally, the Director of Analytics evaluates clients' business objectives to determine appropriate database marketing solutions, define project objectives and develop work plans.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement agency-wide analytics strategy

  • Lead all aspects of design, execution, and delivery of multiple analytics projects

  • Interact with clients in terms of vision for the analytics assignments and delivery of final results

  • Collaborate with internal teams on integration of analytics into the rest of the agency work

  • Contribute to agency work beyond analytics, influencing recommended data-driven strategies for our

    clients

  • Lead/Participate in ongoing efforts to grow the analytics practice and provide thought leadership

  • Contribute to agency new business efforts by generating proposals, presentations and strategies as

    necessary

  • Helps contribute recommendations for analytics related projects to client annual plans and provides

    relevant detail for client sign-off

  • Be a visible part of the marketing analytics community that builds the agency’s reputation in this

    discipline


    Qualifications

  • 10 – 15 years of experience working with analytics at an advertising agency, database marketing supplier, or consulting company

  • Training in a quantitative discipline at the Master’s level or higher

  • Strong statistical analytics skills

  • Experience working with a full range of statistical and web analytics software packages, as well as MS

    Office

  • Agency experience with understanding of Account, Creative and Planning functions

  • Recognized thought leader in Marketing Analytics

  • Proven track record in growing the analytics discipline internally and with clients

  • Strong management and leadership skills

  • Excellent writing, presentation, and client interface skills

  • Experience with effectively managing and supporting an Analytics and Reporting team spread across

    multiple offices.

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow staff

  • Experience working in a range of industries, and familiarity with the “language” of these industries

  • Ability to communicate with senior executives from finance, account management, technology and

    operations backgrounds

  • Strong knowledge of consultative data analysis, interpretation and reporting.

  • Working knowledge of Web Trends, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and other third party data

    and reporting tools.
