We’re seeking a Digital Creative Director with a passion for developing and presenting bold strategic ideas to become a key leader on the Pace team. This person will have three mandates:

Externally, they will be the client-facing digital creative lead for Pace’s largest account, a globally recognized Fortune 50 brand name that is an industry leader in the content marketing revolution. In this role they will present a steady flow of creative thinking, program ideas, and digital concepts while building relationships with their counterparts in multiple partner agencies and client teams.

Internally, the Digital Creative Director will lead and develop the account’s Art and Interactive Design teams, working in close partnership with the Editorial Director, Account, Strategy, and Analytics to develop groundbreaking creative that addresses key client content marketing needs. They will also be accountable for instilling a culture of creative excellence across the team, leading brainstorming, mentoring talent, and owning the visual creative output.

Finally, this person will contribute to the creative leadership of the agency, contributing ideas, vision, and thought leadership on both new business and established accounts.


Education: BA/BS in a relevant field

•7-10 years of substantial digital creative experience
•Agency-side experience centered on high-visibility consumer brands preferred
•Direct experience developing and deploying digital creative concepts at the campaign or program-level, spanning multiple channels (mobile, social, web, media, etc.)
•Experience leading and developing art/design teams

•Proven expertise in UX/UI, mobile, social media, and developing and employing digital content of all types, including video
•Familiarity with principles of content marketing
•Passion for bold ideas, brainstorming, and leading creative excellence
•Successful track record of developing and leading creative teams and talent
•Strong digital creative portfolio

•Serve as one of the principal day-to-day creative faces of Pace for the assigned client, including frequent direct interactions with both client and partner agency contacts
•Own all aspects of the visual creative output of the team for the assigned client, including defining and overseeing a process for delivering creative pitches
•Manage and develop the account’s organic Art team, encompassing designers and Art Directors, including mentorship, training, and performance
•Mentor and develop assigned Interactive Design team members in a dotted-line supervisory role, leading the charge on best-in-class UX/UI for digital content marketing platforms, mobile, CRM, and social design and experiences
•Design and manage the cross-team brainstorming and ideation process, alongside Account, Edit, and Digital Strategy leads, to instill a creative-led team culture and a constant flow of high-quality creative concepts
•Contribute to new business and other existing accounts across Pace as part of the senior creative leadership virtual team

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work in typical office setting with 25% travel
