Account Executive/Assistant Account Executive
DCI is currently seeking to fill two positions within our Economic Development Division: an Account Executive and an Assistant Account Executive. Candidates should have at least one year of relevant public relations, communications or marketing experience. A “passion for places,” strong interest in economic development and exceptionally strong writing and communications skills are important requirements. We are looking for creative, high-achieving individuals with a strong interest in business and its impacts on communities.Primary Responsibilities:•Support the PR & marketing campaigns of each client community•Pitch national media and trade outlets on carefully-researched storylines •Contribute to client digital and social media marketing efforts•Assist with planning, logistics and implementation of special events•Report on and track the progress of PR & marketing campaigns•Demonstrated interest in the field of economic developmentQualifications: •Must be a strong writer and communicator•Impeccable organization and eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment•Confidence and previous experience pitching news media•Experience in use of social media platforms in a professional setting•A strong interest in places and business marketing•Goal-oriented, “can do” attitude and creative problem-solving abilities•A self-starter who is independently-motivated and has the discipline to meet deadlines•Prior PR agency or newsroom experience or have worked with a chamber of commerce/ economic development organization in a marketing capacityPlease share salary requirements in your response.
