Retoucher / Content Manager
Fab is looking for a Content Manager to work in the Fab photography team to assist with the smooth and efficient management and trafficking of visual content within the Creative teams of Fab, our Communications department, location-based productions, as well as any of our external contractors. The Content Manager role demands someone who is highly proactive in identifying organizational processes, tools, and methods for ensuring our visuals are appropriately named, edited, trafficked, and archived. This is a hands-on role that demands versatility and the ability to jump in and edit images as needed, create GIFs, and work with the Creative Director to ensure all images meet Fab’s strict editing standards. Your Responsibilities: Create an image file naming and trafficking process that allows for easy access and retrieval for all images & folders and implement throughout the Creative and Communications teams based on current process timelines and needs as they arrive. Manage the flow of selects through approval, retouchers, and final delivery based on tight turnarounds. Liaise with Fab’s contractor printer for printed materials. As needed, retouch images and create GIFs. Assist with edit notes and communicate to the retoucher(s). Ensure all edit notes are completed. Manage the relationships, expectations, and timelines with the retouchers and ensure that they meet our internal timelines. Build a strong Rolodex of versatile retouchers to outsource efficiently with cost benefits in mind. Deliver final images to the appropriate parties internally. Over-communicate deliverables to all relevant parties. Maintain visibility of photo status to all internal Fab employees. Upload images into their final SKU layouts in Fab’s custom CMS while understanding appropriate crops and style guidelines. Manage incoming SKU and prop orders from Fab's inventory. (buyer requests, stylists, etc.) Skills/Requirements: B.A degree required A sound technical understanding of what makes a great image. Critical eye is necessary. Excellent editing and retouching skills. Ability to multitask and be proactive in communications with internal and external parties. Ability to take creative direction, to be flexible in your approach and easily adapt to working with new teams. Extremely organized with the ability to manage a schedule and meet multiple deadlines across many parties. Experience with backend web publishing and CMS management is desired. High energy and excellent attention to detail. Experience in Photoshop and retouching.
