Princeton Architectural Press seeks an entry-level addition to our Sales & Marketing team. This role provides assistance to the Director of Sales & Marketing along with the rest of the Sales & Marketing department. We seek an organized, enthusiastic and detail driven self-starter with a love of books and design. You’ll acquire a thorough knowledge of our books and stationery, providing strategic support when needed to drive our business forward. A robust productivity skillset – including Microsoft Office and Mailchimp – provides you with the fundamental tools to adeptly manage and meet many competing deadlines. You possess a willingness to change focus quickly when the situation demands it.

Departmental support for Sales and Marketing. This includes:

•Assist in maintaining databases of customers, media and titles.
•Complete product setup spreadsheets and liaise with editors and designers.
•Prepare weekly sales reports, monitoring purchase orders and stock levels for key accounts
•Assist in maintaining website, blog, direct marketing emails and twitter feed by writing and editing entries, e-blasts and tweets. Liaise with the publicists and designers to assist with e-blast schedules, online marketing plans
•Track promotions, pull sales data, and build presentations
•Prepare direct marketing materials for academic, direct to consumer, and industry outreach efforts.
•Provide customer service report for direct orders via our website.
•Directly interface with customers to make sure they receive quick and satisfactory help
•Facilitate timely transfer of design files to, reps and press.
•Academic marketing – researching syllabi, professors, books currently assigned at a variety of universities and colleges in the US and abroad, and prepare direct email outreach to professors, students and professionals.
•Assist with bi-annual catalog preparation and mailings.
•Assist in preparation of sales and marketing materials.
•Field all backlist and non-active and distribution title marketing requests; coordinate and distribute marketing materials to sales reps.
•Assist with book fair preparation including creating PowerPoint/Keynote presentations, proofing our backlist, gathering and shipping sales materials.
•Manage all Award submissions.
•Prepare updates on marketing and publicity news including reviews, awards, bestseller rankings, etc.
•Maintain factsheet, review, awards and backlist databases.
•General administrative assistance to the department and the Executive Directors of Marketing and Business Development, such as proofreading, photocopying, sending packages/mail, assisting with meetings, travel plans and marketing / publicity events, as needed

•BA/BS degree or equivalent.
•One year of professional, fulltime office experience (internships acceptable).
•Clear written and verbal communications, with a customer service orientation.
•Superior time management and project management skills.
•Exceptional attention to detail.
•Desire to work in a high-performing, collaborative, team environment.
•MS Excel, PowerPoint/Keynote and Word experience required.
•Enthusiasm and positive attitude a must!
•Book experience or experience in a selling environment helpful
