KQED is looking for a professional, creative information designer to join the KQED Science team and provide a variety of graphics for our news, education and online video projects. This position will work closely with the KQED Science Managing Editor to design an overall strategy for the use of information design and style guide for the unit. This individual will produce educational resources for use in iBooks Textbooks, videos and on the web including illustrations, infographics, animations and basic interactives. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for science and environmental subjects, especially as they relate to current events. Must have creativity in design solutions and committed to lifelong design learning and innovation. Deep knowledge of Adobe CS: Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign.
