Description: Within the guidelines of the departmental budget, provide a broad range of support in the development and execution of external communications, including, but not limited to, advertising, public relations and/or social media/interactive. Develop national and regional public relations, advertising or social media integrated programs. Provide day to day management of partner agencies and strategic oversight of campaigns. Strategize on corporate sponsorships and associations, and market specific promotional programs and materials. Develop media strategies and plans working directly with external agency partners. This position will also assist the Sales Department in supporting and executing communications programs, and/or promotional activities for chain partners and independent retailers.
Duties: • Strategize and implement direction for public relations, social media or advertising strategies with Marketing Management on an annual basis.
• Provide oversight of national and regional media buys with advertising and media agencies.
• Provide support for all interactive web content including consumer internet website, Distributor Extranet, and employee intranet in concert with Creative Services, IT and web designer.
• Provide guidance to internal business partners on maintaining brand guidelines, imagery and ensuring consistency within company’s branding system.
• Strategize public relations programs and corporate sponsorships and affiliations that align with marketing objectives that reinforce our premium status with the consumer.
• Develop creative production to support communications efforts.
• Build strong, collaborative working relationships with outside partner agencies.
• Responsible for making well-substantiated recommendations for promotional programs and merchandising materials to support Distributors and Retailers.
• Establish and manage relationships with chain partner communication departments that lead to Boar’s Head inclusion in multi-faceted communication co-branding efforts with all major chain partners.
• Write and/or supervise the writing of all press releases and internal communications.
• Promotes and facilitates the internal communication process between staff and demonstrates a positive work environment.
• Manage reporting and tracking of all Marketing initiatives.
• Communicate and obtain all necessary media and support material approvals in conjunction with appropriate staff.
• Measure and report on communications efforts and activities.
• Respond to Distributor and Sales Management telephone or written requests for marketing assistance.
• Assist with the development of presentations for all national meetings.
• Be innovative with ideas that uphold the esteem and premium position of the Boar’s Head Brand, and elevate and solidify our relationship with consumers as well as retailer, foodservice and military customers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: • BA/BS Degree – Marketing or Communications major preferred.
• Agency coordination/management required.
• Media planning experience preferred.
• Copywriting skills required.
• 5-7 years related experience.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Must have computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
