Working closely with the Art Director, the Graphic Designer supports all corporate overhead divisions (Communications, Conventions and Events, Human Resources) by providing graphic design solutions for corporate campaigns, initiatives, events and publications, including both print and web collateral. Projects may include: corporate branding and identity, including creation of style guides and logos; website and microsite page layout; internal and external event display design; advertising, marketing, and promotional items; corporate research reports.

This position reports to the Art Director, Corporate Communications.

Responsibilities

•Working with Art Director from concept though production to produce and deliver high quality, design savvy print and web design in accordance with the requirements of each project
•Providing creative input
•Working cross-departmentally on multiple projects
•Preparing design files for production
Adhering to production schedules, budgets and deadlines
•Actively staying abreast of current design trends

Required Qualifications

•Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field
•2+ years’ experience in related field
•Proficiency in print design capabilities a must
•Advanced graphic design production skills and proficiency in the use of latest design software including: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Acrobat
•In-depth knowledge of design principles and techniques
•Ability to think creatively and conceptually
•Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects on deadline
•Ability to work calmly and maintain high standards under pressure and in the face of time constraints
•Ability to approach projects with flexibility and resourcefulness
•Ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels within the organization
•Extremely attention to detail
•Excellent communication and organizational skills
•Advanced computer skills (Mac/PC proficient; PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Project)

Desired Qualifications

•Web development competency a plus (DreamWeaver, HTML, CSS, Drupal)
•Knowledge of web standards and related best practices also a plus
