Job Description: The Boston Globe is looking to hire an assistant editor for its award-winning arts and entertainment department. Creative energy, high standards, and strong editing and planning skills are a must.

Responsibilities: Supervising Boston Globe coverage of visual art, pop music, and classical music for the daily G section, the Sunday Arts section, page 1, and online.

Qualifications: The right candidate is seasoned, ambitious, and passionate about the arts and culture.

Required skills and experience: Creative energy, high standards, and strong editing and planning skills are a must. Experience with editing arts coverage for a major newspaper or magazine is required, and expertise in such subjects as visual art, pop music, and classical music is especially welcome.
