Senior Account Executive
We are currently looking for one exceptional individual, for either NYC or SF office, who is passionate about technology, innovation, business and being directly involved in the growth of a reputable PR firm with wind in its sails.The right candidate is extremely motivated, hungry, a creator, team player, aspiring leader and hustler who can thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing team environment.The right candidate should be a seasoned tech PR professional with agency experience and a proven track record of producing business-building results, and a passion for working with entrepreneurs. The selected candidate will be joining a dynamic, enthusiastic, high-energy but small team and should be prepared for a distinctive entrepreneurial culture that sees team building and creative collaboration as essential parts of each day. You will possess between 4-7 years of public relations agency experience. You will serves as a primary client contact and internal team point person, handling the management and execution of the tactical and strategic elements of client public relations campaigns, reporting directly to the VP of Media Relations and the agency’s founder. You should have demonstrated leadership skills, media relationships, strong writing capabilities, a clear understanding of how to implement and execute a tactical public relations campaign and will work alongside senior leadership to grow his or her strategic capabilities. Responsibilities:- Execute development of press materials, pitches, and other communication tools- Manage PR campaigns from inception to completion including: handling media inquiries, coordinating with press, scheduling with client, drafting briefing materials, etc.- Draft and edit materials (e.g. pitch letters, news releases, backgrounders, fact sheets, bios, newsletters, bylines/op-eds, etc.)- Maintain clear and consistent communication between the Client(s) and account team- Continually look to create and identify opportunities for clients- Keep abreast of each client’s industry; competition and coverage- Manage multiple accounts/projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline adherence and meeting program goals- Build relationships with clients, colleague and media at all levels- Work with agency and client partners on news announcements and media opportunities as appropriate- Provide ongoing and pro-active input and suggestions to provide added value to accountsDesired Skills & Experience:- 4-7 years public relations agency experience- Creative thinker- Detail-oriented and organized- Media relations prowess via all forms of communications- Possess verified media relationships/contacts- Social media experience including the use of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and influencer/blogger outreach, etc.- Polished written and verbal communications skills are a must- Pitch/story angle development- Capable of managing multiple assignments/accounts- Ability to meet deadlines- Creation of client update memos & management of miscellaneous administrative tasks- Industry specific knowledge in the following fields are preferred: entertainment technology, mobile communications, enterprise technology and consumer tech- Knowledge of Cision, ProfNet, Vocus, Marketwire ResonateThis is not a cubicle environment.
