Pace Communications, a leading U.S. content marketing agency is now accepting resumes for an Editorial Director in our San Antonio, Texas office to lead a multi-channel content program for a Fortune 500 financial services company.

Pace is one of the largest and most successful agencies of its type in the world – our people are recognized as thought leaders in the field and our account list includes some of the North America’s most successful brands – including Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Southwest Airlines, USAirways, Verizon Wireless, Wells Fargo and Walmart.

We’re looking for a proven content leader to take the reins of a multi-channel content program for a Fortune 500 financial services company. You have a stellar editorial track record in leading complex content programs, but you aren’t afraid to take a hands-on approach to getting a story just right. You can mentor, inspire and manage a team of editors in order to help them achieve their best. You’ve worked across multiple platforms in print and digital, and you know there are lots of ways to tell every story—from feature articles to photo galleries to infographics. While you’ve proven yourself at a major consumer brand or publication, you’re also well versed in content marketing, and in creating content for brands. Finally, you ideally have expertise in consumer finance.

The program you’ll run has a vast audience, and includes both employee-facing content and customer-facing content. The channels include print and tablet versions of a magazine; a news hub; a blog; newsletters; and an employee-facing intranet. And the content you’ll lead ranges from news articles to feature articles, blog posts, advice content, internal communications, infographics and video.

Your editorial talent and leadership is of paramount importance, but a experience in overseeing the day-to-day workflow of a digital editorial process is required, including the development and management of content in all formats from assigning through editing, copyediting, fact-checking, optimization, QA, publishing and measurement. In short, you’ve worked in a dynamic and integrated content publishing environment. You understand the best practices of maximizing content across platforms and audiences, and you’re capable of identifying opportunities for leveraging content across multiple channels— including print, tablet, newsletter, social and web. And you’re a born diplomat, comfortable and adept at building and strengthening client relationships.

As Editorial Director, you’ll create a holistic, short- and long-term vision for the content program, and you’ll partner with print edit, art, account, development and sales teams to produce dynamic and engaging content. Must work in San Antonio. Relocation support is available.

•Contributes to evolution of both print and digital channels, with forward-thinking ideas about content types, topics and presentation

•Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or related field
•Experience: 8–10 years of experience as an editorial director for a multi-channel program that includes print, web, mobile and social platforms. Subject-matter expertise in consumer finance. Must be able to juggle multiple projects at a fast pace and manage many moving parts and details.
