Your tasks
The Publishing Operations group is looking for a Pricing Specialist to join their Print Production team.

The person is responsible for analysis as it relates to the cost of printing, including scale analysis, printer optimization, and support for RFPs and subsequent print contracts with suppliers. This position is central to all of the activity regarding print pricing which would include scale analysis, scale vetting, contractual pricing reviews, and general pricing analysis. This person would help to develop, working with the Production Planning Manager, a vendor optimization model which will ensure each print job is assigned to the best printer based on a number of factors including capability, price and capacity. In addition, this person would be available for any ad hoc reporting and/or analysis required by management.

_Scale management _ Assure accuracy of scales following any changes (i.e. new pricing, material increases, CPI, etc). Working with PubOps Support to ensure they are in SAP in promptly and accurately
_Scale Analysis _ Compare scales as needed (i.e. RFP/contract negotiation) either between vendors or different scales of the same vendor
_Historical Analysis _ Looking for pricing trends of vendors for use in negotiations or any other as-needed basis
_Vendor Optimization _ Working with Prod Planner to build tools to assure right work is going to right vendors
_P&L Tool Management _ Build and maintain P&L tools to help make decisions for printing method (digital vs. offset)
_COGS Reporting _ Responsible for reporting and tracking cost of goods sold reporting and analysis

Our requirements
College degree required, preferably with to 3-5 years of relevant experience. Ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills. Excel proficiency a must.
