Marketing & Communications Associate
The Marketing & Communications Associate is responsible for supporting the commercial organization to execute on FSG’s multi-channel marketing strategy, which includes bolstering the growth and engagement of FSG’s community of executive clients, expert advisors, academics, and media.The successful MCA candidate will work closely with FSG’s existing Marketing & Communications team as well as FSG’s regional research and commercial teams to support major integrated marketing campaigns through the development and execution of communications plans. The MCA’s day-to-day activities will be divided across all areas related to FSG’s multi-channel marketing strategy, including video and podcast production and editing, client and prospect correspondence formulation, and other tasks as needed. FSG’s multi-channel marketing approach is vital to the success of the firm by driving inbound lead generation and positioning FSG as the emerging market experts. Contribution to the multi-channel marketing approach includes maximizing online presence, including social media, featured videos and podcasts, as well as live events, press engagement, PR and client referrals. Specific responsibilities include the following:•Partnering with Marketing team members to build and update FSG’s emerging markets community database across academia, media, executives, and other third parties (CRM Management)•Qualifying inbound leads through a combination of internet research and phone conversations•Creating marketing collateral for new products, research pieces, and sales tools•Filming research briefings led by FSG research directors and editing raw footage to create final videos for company video channels and client portal•Suggest new ways to incorporate interactive, video, and social media platforms into regular internal communications vehicles•Contributing to the multi-channel marketing strategy by engaging media and event organizers; managing social media profiles; and assessing potential partnerships, among other activities.Qualifications & Experience The successful candidate must possess:•Undergraduate degree •1-2 years of work experience– preferably in marketing, public relations, or journalist capacity•Exceptional writing and copyediting skills•Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and graphic design•Experience using Salesforce.com or other CRM database tools (preferred, not required)•Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro CC or other video editing software (preferred, not required)Attributes•Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and persuasion skills •Ambitious, driven and able to work autonomously in a goal-orientated environment •Collegial, and dedicated to the success of the team•Professional, responsible, self-motivated and disciplined •Demonstrated attention to detail•Interest in a long-term career in the fields of Marketing, Account Management, Business Development, Consulting, or Emerging MarketsThis position will be located in our Washington, D.C. office.
