Film Director's Assistant (Internship)
Feature film in post-production, prepping for festival run and distribution. The film was an Independent Feature Project (IFP) Narrative Lab Fellow, an official selection of USinProgress, a top script in the Nicholl Screenwriting Competition.Assistant will work alongside the film's Producer, Kurt Pitzer, and Writer/Director Kimberly Levin in all aspects of social media marketing, press kit development, event planning and the completion and roll-out of this acclaimed independent feature film. The position requires flexible hours. Candidates must be able to travel to Williamsburg in Brooklyn. The term of the internship is through spring 2015, and we expect the Assistant to be with us through the exciting premiere of the film and beyond. Candidates should have strengths in more than two of the following:-Good writing skills absolutely required-Social media: Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Vimeo-Design, web design, Dreamweaver-Any or all: Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro 7.0-Organizational skills – scanning, filing, etc-People and phone skillsThe position will include some clerical tasks. Producer and Director have projects set up at HBO and Johnny Depp’s company, Infinitum Nihil and are continually developing new work. Depending on her or his background, Assistant may be asked to conduct original research for upcoming screenplays and literary projects.
