St. Martin’s Press seeks a creative, strategic and motivated marketer familiar with digital and traditional marketing tactics for driving book sales while building/engaging audiences around a list of world class books/authors. Candidates must be forward thinking, collaborative and able to develop and implement marketing strategies using the latest online and off-line tactics.

Major responsibilities:

Serve as lead marketer and point of contact for the publishers, editors and authors for selected titles
Develop and execute marketing campaigns for titles within team categories: literary fiction, woman’s fiction, biography and memoir
Cultivate audience development opportunities with established partners and from the ground up and execute them in collaboration with colleagues on the team
Develop account sell-in and consumer marketing materials in conjunction with our Creative Services team
Manage individual title marketing budgets
Develop social media engagement and content plans for authors
Blog, lifestyle website and portal outreach
Collaborate on planning and analysis of online advertising campaigns

Required skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and problem solving skills
Love of books, particularly literary fiction, women’s fiction, biography and memoir
Familiarity with digital and mobile platforms including blogs, social media sites, apps, e-books
Ability to multi-task and work within a fast paced, team environment
Excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite. Experience working on Macs and PCs. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, HTML5 and other web based applications a plus

2-3 years experience
