Managing Editor, Women's Health
Women’s Health is seeking a Managing Editor for WomensHealthMag.com, to work in our New York office. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, highly organized and creative individual who has a minimum of 4 years of experience in online publishing in an editorial and/or producing role. In this position, you are ultimately responsible for the editorial production of WomensHealthMag.com, and will help facilitate and participate in the brainstorming, creation, and execution of all editorial projects for the website. Responsibilities include: Coordinate, manage, and implement all sponsored campaign activations, as well as editorial and site requests from ad ops, marketing, ecommerce, PR, print, and development teamsWork with the Site Director to brainstorm, develop, and execute all editorial and special projectsSupervise the production team membersSet promotional and editorial priorities based on business needsManage and coordinate all site newslettersWrite and edit display copy, articles, newsletters, social and tool copy when appropriateCollaborate with magazine editorial staff to select magazine content for Web and develop joint projects and interactive featuresUnderstand and use all available Rodale editorial resources (from magazines to books to the library and archive) in developing content for the WebReview user feedback from online discussion boards and market research and track site metrics to develop a solid understanding of customer needs and behavior The ideal candidate will possess: 4+ years experience in online publishing in an editorial and/or producing role1+ years experience in a managing edit/assistant managing edit roleExcellent written, verbal and time-management skillsAbility to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyExpert with computers and standard Web and business software (including Excel)Experience with Drupal content management system and Omniture analytics a plusStrong footing with HTML and Photoshop essential, and experience with Flash and video production/editing a plusTo apply, please send a cover letter and resume to Site Director Carolyn Kylstra at Carolyn.Kylstra@Rodale.com.To apply, please send a cover letter and resume to Site Director Carolyn Kylstra at Carolyn.Kylstra@Rodale.com.
