The Sr. Web Graphic Designer is responsible for developing highly innovative design solutions and compelling brand and customer experiences. The designer will create and evolve the look, feel and usability of our e-commerce site. Candidate should have excellent communication and client liaison skills, thoughtful conceptual ability, strong typographic skills, knowledge of new technologies, exhibit attention to detail, and have enthusiasm for design and a design culture.


Requirements:

•Education: BFA or BS in Graphic Design/ Web Design degree.
•Required Experience: 5+ years professional work experience in digital and interactive design for web/e-commerce. Experience leading and mentoring other designers.
•Fashion background is necessary.

Design

•Advanced level proficiency in Adobe CS. Expert Photoshop skills
•Strong typography and layout skills. Discerning eye for photo editing, cropping, compositing and retouching.
•Working knowledge of web technology capabilities specifically CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, Action Script, XML. (Position does not include coding).
•Familiar with best practices and procedures for UI/UX
•Must be an imaginative and capable designer with strong communication skills, both verbal and written. They should have highly developed problem solving skills, and ability to see the big picture. Should be adept at creating project briefs and prototypes.
•Ability to listen and synthesize data to understand customers’ needs and provide creative solutions and recommendations.
•Client liaison experience preferable.

•Experience leading and mentoring other designers.

•Must be a self-motivated, well-organized individual who pays close attention to detail and is able to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment.

•Understanding and appreciation for EILEEN FISHER’s design and aesthetic style approach.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Responsible for the design and execution of web content and campaigns. May include typography, logo and icon design, home pages, interactive components, UX, banners, product landing pages, emails, online marketing, video integration and site enhancements.
2.Communicate and coordinate with internal clients, graphic designers, copywriters, developers/programmers and outside vendors to ensure the success of the visual brand message and the technical and performance specifications for a customer-friendly user experience.
3.Consult with internal partners to determine visual requirements that support organizational business, branding, and project visual goals.
4.Work closely with Art Director and key partners to brainstorm innovative brand communication and creative direction for digital/e-commerce, working constantly to elevate and evolve the brand and business while maintaining the EF customer base. Develop concepts, briefs and prototypes for the online user experience.
5.Manage workflow and project timelines for the web design projects with the aid of the Project Manager and Art Director.
6.Work closely with Art Director to lead the web graphic design team.
7.Coordinate work on a variety of projects simultaneously with an acute attention to detail and accuracy.
8.Connect cross functionally with web developers for monthly site launch and ongoing projects.
9.Ensure all work, both creative and technical, are reviewed for accuracy before deployment.
10.Respond quickly to design challenges and new business needs.

Has Contact Primarily With: Web Graphics/E-commerce, Web Merchandising, Web Content and Development, Copywriting, Web + Retail Buying, Advertising, Marketing, Branding, Print Graphics, Store Visuals + In-store Graphics, Retail and Wholesale partners and outside vendors.
