Position: Media Planner

Intro: MRM//McCann Media is looking to add talent to our quickly growing media team. The selected candidate will be dedicated to a key pharmaceutical client, for whom we manage all digital marketing, for both consumers and healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include all those below, though the role will also be shaped to emphasize the new team member’s strengths.

All media team members interface with account services, strategy, creative, search, social and data & analytics teams on a near-daily basis and gain exposure to a wide variety of marketing programs, regardless of account assignment, due to a well-established “sharing” culture and initiative. MRM//McCann Media offers an exciting opportunity to learn about marketing across sectors, geographies (global clients) and types of programs (awareness, engagement, conversion-driving), while increasing depth of experience in key focus areas.

Key Responsibilities: Digital Media Planning, Buying and Management
•Explore, evaluate and select media tactics/partners for consideration
•Develop media opportunities with prospective partners
•Negotiate efficient rates/set max bid price and process contracts
•Apply benchmarks and project contributions to client goals
•Review ad specs with the production department
•Traffic creative/tags and confirm partner QA
•Review campaign data, extract insights and optimize
•Reconcile billing and manage budgets
•Read industry trades and stay updated on digital marketing trends

oExperience: 4+ years digital media planning and buying
oTraits: Ambitious, curious, creative, independent, productive
?Exceptional verbal/written communication
?Strong mathematical and analytical skills
?Technical understanding
?Attention to detail
?Ad management platforms (DoubleClick or other)
?Digital planning tools (ComScore MediaMetrix or other)
?Excel, PPT, Word, et al.

oExperience: Pharma accounts
?Site-side tracking platforms (Google Analytics or other)
?Digital reach and frequency tools (ComScore R/F or other)
?Workflow systems (Mediavisor, Bionic or other)
oTactical experience:
?Heavy rich media and video distribution
?Search engine advertising (to aid in collaboration w/our dedicated search team)
