Creative Services Manager
CMI seeks a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Creative Services Manager within the Communications Department. The Creative Services Manager shapes and manages the representation of the organization and the application of the brand across all media. These media include, but aren’t limited to, printed publications, web design, social media graphic assets, advertising, email messaging templates and assets, marketing and event collateral, and internal business collateral such as stationary. The Manager provides or contracts graphic and visual services to the organization for both external audiences and internal constituencies, and the highest level of customer service and project management is expected. The Manager will report to the Child Outreach Officer and interfaces with a variety of vendors and creative consultants. In addition, the Manager frequently collaborates with staff across the organization as well as key stakeholders to create materials that are visual exciting and effective. Located at CMI headquarters in New York City, this is an exempt, full-time position with competitive salary and benefits. Responsibilities:* Designs and creates communications as assigned, including conceiving of layout, selecting typographic treatments, designing and creating imagery as needed, and exploring output options. * Consistently applies brand guidelines across all projects, such as for layout, color, imagery, and typography, extending as necessary.* Collaborates with other staff to optimize communications through design solutions.* Creates presentations, comps, and all materials necessary for presenting concepts and ideas.* Create and maintain supply of print collateral for in-house and distribution needs.* Collecting estimates from various vendors* Be the point of contact for all creative requests* Be the CMI point of contact for creative services vendors and freelancers* Creating and checking art files for print-readiness and making corrections where needed* Bring a multidisciplinary perspective to the department and the organization as a whole* Create graphics and data visualizations of the organization's work for use on the web and in publications* Proactively drive multiple projects from concept through production in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines. * Manage the pipeline of marketing creative projects, ensuring the projects are completed through either internal or external resources* General administrative & special projects as assigned Qualifications* Bachelor's degree or Master’s Degree in Graphic Arts, Design, Communications or commiserate experience. * 2+ years of experience in print and web design.* Superior project management and organizational skills; adept at working under tight deadlines and management of multiple projects.* Superior writing, speaking and interpersonal skills. * Strong portfolio of print and web design demonstrating strategic thinking underlying fantastic visual design and strong attention to detail* Resourceful, communications savvy, technically adept, problem solving acumen.* Experience extending and implementing brand identity systems.* Proficient in the following software: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, MS Office Suite, Mac OS* Knowledge of Flash and basic html a plusApplication Details and InstructionsPlease upload cover letter and resume as one document in the resume section on the application site.
