Digital Media Manager
The Digital Media Manager is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and day-to-day management of key digital assets for Cowboys & Indians and Western & English Today magazines, including websites, e-books and publications, apps, e-newsletters, and social media. Responsibilities include setting project budgets; reporting analytics; working with contracted web designers and IT support; and coordinating with in-house advertising, editorial, and circulation departments. This position is responsible for taking a leadership role in determining enhancements to existing products as well as in new product development. Applicants must have a strong user understanding and demonstrated expertise in website development, digital media (e-books and apps), and social media, including usability, architecture, analytics, and design.

Key Responsibilities:
•Manages daily operations of websites, e-newsletters, digital publications, and social media.
•Identifies and implements rollout of new features and digital products based on usability studies and analytics.
•Oversees contracted IT support to update computer systems, plan and manage hardware purchases, maintain software updates/enhancements, and ensure back-up procedures and business recovery plans.
•Works with in-house editorial, advertising, and circulation departments to manage content updates and maximize traffic and sales on an ongoing basis.
•Deployment and monitoring of online advertising and editorial content.
•Digital production of magazines and e-books for iPad, Kindle, and Nook.
•Tracks and promotes online e-commerce inventory.
•Coordinates e-mail newsletter editorial and advertising content, schedules mailing, maintains subscriber list, and manages growth.
•Develops and distributes monthly statistical reports for all digital assets.
•Leads new business development based on market research and statistical data in order to increase product offerings and revenue.
Key Job Requirements:
•Minimum 2 years’ experience defining, developing, and launching successful web sites, and 1 year of project management experience.
•Demonstrated experience with website strategy, site functionality, and end-user experience.
•Experience in using analytics to justify product decisions.
•Proficient in online marketing, search engine optimization, customer engagement and retention, and social media.
•Fluency in HTML5, CSS, and Javascript.
•Working knowledge of CMS platforms and social media management tools.
•Superior knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat.
•BA, MFA Digital Media, or related degree.
