The Wall Street Journal seeks a social media editor who will work with the Social, Mobile and Audience Development team to extend social media integration within our newsgathering operation. The editor will be an integral part of our real-time news desk and will train editors and reporters in best-practices regarding social media for reporting and engagement. The editor will be part of a team of editors responsible for running the main WSJ social accounts and innovating across social and mobile platforms.
We are looking for a digital journalist with a demonstrable passion for news. The successful candidate will also have in-depth experience of social media platforms, an understanding of digital analytics and an ability to train others on best social practices.
