Freelance is seeking a freelance Digital Associate Producer to join their production team responsible for the digital executions of tentpole events, including the MTV Video Music Awards and Movie Awards. Digital APs are creative individuals and adept online curators with a strict attention to detail, who are quick to take initiative and above all, are team players. They are fans of the internet, pop culture, movies, music and MTV. The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, experienced in creating content for digital platforms and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The Digital Associate Producer is responsible for daily production and site quality of their projects. Working under the direction of the project leads, the AP oversees promotional assets, including image selection, copy, curation of content and publishing of assets. They’re responsible for timeline management, as well as content conception and development. The position works closely with the Ad Sales Production team and coordinates daily with digital teams including but not limited to Tech, Project Management, Design, Integrated Marketing and Social Media teams.

- Minimum 3-5 years in online media production based role.
- Be highly organized, detail-oriented and a creative thinker.
- Knowledge of HTML, XML, Flash, Adobe and other common web-publishing technologies.
- Command of SEO/SEM and social media best practices.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, HTML editing tools, content management systems and Wordpress.
- Passion for MTV brand and deep knowledge of pop culture, movies and music.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Editorial background a plus.
- Available full time. Willingness to work evening and weekends when needed.

Responsibilities Include:
- Managing and overseeing site updates.
- Maintaining quality content and presentation.
- Creating and managing schedule and timeline.
- Generate sponsor opportunities and working with Ad Sales Production and Integrated Marketing to develop and execute these ideas.
- Track traffic metrics and usage patterns on all platforms to improve and maximize streams/views.
