The Senior IT Support Specialist takes a leadership roll in all client and help-desk administration and support functions, life-cycle IT project management and IT-related end-user training. This position works as a part of a team to provide a variety of essential IT-related services to a worldwide corporate user community.

Responsible for coordinating the effective resolution of end user problems, determining key performance measures and metrics, recommending upgrades and replacements, and analyzing existing business processes; supervises a team of PC Support Technicians working as a team to resolve and manage these issues
Responsible for overseeing PC setup and configuration, application loads, and hardware troubleshooting
Responsible for the effective and efficient design and functioning of all computer system software, hardware, and peripheral equipment necessary to maintain normal data processing functions
Oversees the work of system technicians and/ or analysts through direct or indirect supervision Schedules necessary maintenance and installation
Maximizes performance capabilities and cost effectiveness of new and existing systems
Serves as in-house consultant for maintenance and development issues related to computers and equipment
Education and Training:
AS/AA required, BS/BA preferred

Two years experience in IT working in a technical/help desk role in an enterprise help desk support environment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Must have hands on experience with Windows XP/7, Office 2007/2010, Internet Explorer 9, McAfee Anti-Virus and EPO Server, Windows 2003/2008 Server, IIS 6/7, Exchange 5.5/2003/2010, SQL Server 2005/2008
Solid organizational and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to absorb information quickly
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment
