The Marketing Manager will work with the Marketing & Business Development Director in creating and implementing an overall marketing and communication strategy for the firm. He/She will also be responsible for managing the branding of the firm by ensuring marketing materials are in line with overall corporate identity. This position will be based at our Bethesda, Maryland office.


•Plan, manage, and implement a wide range of marketing activities such as events, messaging, speaking opportunities, email and direct mail campaigns, advertising, communications, and PR
•Build integrated campaigns for leveraging thought leadership
•Develop and manage content for marketing materials such as flyers, case studies, white papers, articles, website, etc.
•Develop and oversee delivery of communication strategy to both internal and external stakeholders
•Manage website content
•Manage participation of conferences & trade shows and develops materials in support of each
•Facilitate submissions to industry trade journals, blogs, and other channels
•Interface with firm’s marketing vendors and key associations
•Effectively leverage CRM and marketing automation tools
•Oversee lead tracking process
•Oversee tracking of marketing related expenses such as sponsorships, memberships, etc.
•Manage social media activity and performs related analytics
•Conduct market research
•Support business development efforts as needed such as proposal and presentation development
•Analyze effectiveness of marketing activities and report back to Director
•Supervise relevant marketing tasks with the Marketing and HR Coordinator
•Perform other duties as assigned


•BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
•Strong writing skills
•Some experience in professional services environment
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word
•Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
•Experience developing and executing marketing campaigns by leveraging multiple communication channels such as social media, print, electronic, etc.
•Experience working with and effectively leveraging a CRM system
•Experience with social media, web analytics and SEO
•Some business savvy and strong desire to continue to learn and grow
•Highly organized, efficient, and extremely detailed oriented along with superior proofreading and fact checking skills
•Self-motivated, takes initiative, and is able to work both independently and as part of a team
•Understanding of current social network platforms
•Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to balance multiple initiatives and effectively set priorities
•Experience performing market research using Internet and other sources as appropriate and reporting on findings
•Ability to travel (mostly local)
