Your tasks
The Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group is seeking a Manager to join the Academic Marketing team.

The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Marketing Director to develop and execute strategies to further Knopf Doubleday's influence in the academic market. The Marketing Manager will:
_Analyze Knopf Doubleday frontlist and backlist titles to assess their value to college instructors and high school teachers and plan marketing campaigns around those titles.
_Oversee the planning, writing, design and distribution of bi-annual academic catalogs, including copy-writing
_Plan, prepare materials for, and attend academic conferences
_Manage and maintain all social media properties
_Communicate regularly with instructors regarding course adoptions, and coordinate distribution of desk and examination copies
_Identify new advertising and promotion opportunities and negotiate placement
_Supervise redesign of academic website

Our requirements
This position requires a bachelor's degree and four to five years of marketing experience. Experience in academic publishing is preferred, but not required. Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required; HTML and design skills are highly beneficial. The ideal candidate is organized and enthusiastic, has strong writing skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
