The Vice President Sales and Marketing will primarily be responsible for growing the US revenue of JKP, and for managing the day to day running of the Philadelphia office. This job will include:
-Overall responsibility for all US sales and marketing activities, including direct mail, social media activity, conferences exhibits, managing rep groups, publicity on selected titles, liaison with major customers, working directly with US authors on marketing and publicity, developing special sales accounts, developing new routes to market, and identifying and realizing potential new business relationships and partners.
-Managing four full-time sales and marketing staff in the Philadelphia office
-Managing the day-to-day relationship with the US warehouse
-Discussion with and feedback to the UK-based editorial team on projects put forward for contract
-Working with senior editors to identify and develop new publishing initiatives
-Input into the strategic management of the group.

Requirements
-Minimum five years sales and marketing experience, preferably in two or more kinds of book publishing
-Excellent communication and analytic skills
-Imagination and interest in reaching changing markets
-Ability to formulate and work to budgets
-Established ability to develop and lead a team
-Passion for the painstaking and joyful work of publishing books that matter
-Project management ability
