Your tasks
The ideal candidate for this role should be energetic with an ambitious desire to further enhance their _technical_ knowledge with regards to our Hyperion Suite. Penguin Random House_s Hyperion platform consists of the following products; Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Smart View, Workspace and Financial Reporting. In this role, the candidate will also provide end user support for our centralized Financial Planning Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
_End user support (US, Canada, UK)
_Maintain Hyperion Planning/Essbase Metadata (Outline, Calc Scripts, Business Rules, MaxL, Web Forms, Security, etc).
_Design/modify Hyperion Reports
_Execute routine calc scripts (Allocations, Data Copies and Clears)
_Lead in preparing the system for the forecasting and budgeting cycles (SAP Title Master, RMS feeds, Rollover, etc).
_Data Loads: SAP actuals to Hyperion Planning & Planning forecasted/budgeted data into SAP.
_Aide in the optimization and performance tuning of the Hyperion Planning platform.
_Assist with the implementation of system upgrades.
_Special projects
_Ad-hoc analysis


Our requirements
_Bachelor_s degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Information Systems
_3 - 5 years experience using either Hyperion Planning or Essbase
_Detail Oriented
_Problem solver and team player
_Proactive personality; ability to anticipate potential issues
_Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
_Good understanding of system architecture and design
_Skilled in Microsoft Excel (VBA a plus), Access and SQL (desirable)
