Marketing manager will be responsible for planning the trade division’s participation at select national conferences, including author programming, entertaining, budget, and the strategic promotion of titles at each show. Building and managing relationships with teachers, librarians, and committee members. The manager will also oversee submissions to state and national awards.

Required Qualifications

1.3 to 5 years of experience planning and managing industry conferences
2.3 to 5 of experience in school and library marketing
3.Prior event planning experience
4.Excellent written and verbal communication skills
5.Proven ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
6.Strong organizational skills with superb attention to detail
7.Ability to travel to 5-6 week long conferences per year
8.Detail oriented
9.Creative, with the ability to think proactively
10.Experience in children's publishing strongly preferred
